What is the Customer Portal?

The customer portal is a microsite individualized for each and every customer. The site considers customer purchase history, current payment information, retailer inventory, and more to provide the customer with numerous upgrade options. The customer can then navigate the simple-to-use site to view these options in depth and select the vehicle or payment that works best for them.

Finding the perfect vehicle

There are links within AutoLoop Quote email communications that direct the customer to their personalized portal:

  • Section 1: Your Trade-in Vehicle displays the customer’s current vehicle make and model.
  • Section 2: Choose Your New Vehicle automatically populates with a new vehicle that is similar to their current vehicle. From here, customers can also compare prices of other available models and trims, allowing them to shop different vehicles without pressure.
  • Section 3: See Your Exclusive Trade-Up Offer represents the new estimated payment based on the selected upgrade vehicle. If the customer is interested in other models, trim levels, or accessory package options, he or she can navigate back to Section 2 to explore more options.

If the offer interests the customer, they have the option to click Contact Me, which automatically generates a confirmation message to the customer and an email to the dealership expressing the customer’s interest. Plus, this action locks in the customer’s quote for quick reference later on.

In as few as two clicks, the customer has a personalized, locked-in quote for a new vehicle and the dealership has an email detailing the customer’s interest. Not only does the customer portal streamline the trade-up process, but offering flexibility and transparency also increases customer engagement and brand loyalty — turning one-time buyers into lifetime owners.

Stay tuned for enhancements releasing this week — they’ll allow you to have more visibility into your customer’s portal activities. You’ll have access to a list of all customers who have interacted with the portal, plus you’ll see if they’ve been contacted by an employee yet. In addition, you’ll be able to see any given customer’s portal activity from the new Activity tab within Customer Details. These customers will even be pushed to the top of your Sales Ledger to keep them top-of-mind!
